I'm Lorelei Gonzalez (pronounced: Laura-lie), a communications expert based in Austin, Texas, who launched my communications consultancy in 2019. I specialize in helping small business leaders and start-up entrepreneurs refine their forward-facing communications and presentation styles, both virtually and in-person. Additionally, I am a committed nonprofit professional, having served in the sector for well over a decade. I'm a passionate advocate for women’s issues and equity work, dedicated to serving my community on behalf of human-centered missions.

 

I earned my bachelors from the University of Arkansas and my Masters from the University of Colorado. Additionally, I am a certified nonprofit manager, a Google #IamRemarkable facilitator, and guest lecturer at ACC. Staying active in volunteer service is a priority; after serving Austin’s recovery community through the Austin chapter of the Texas Association of Addiction Professionals (TAAP) for several years, I've pivoted to working with developing leaders through the Young Women’s Alliance (YWA). I am also an active member of the Women Communicators of Austin (WCA) and a Tigerlily ANGEL Advocate — committed to mobilizing our communities to end cancer care disparities.

I believe that our lived experiences define who we are; as a breast cancer survivor, I strive to live an impactful and meaningful life filled with love, joy, and empowerment.  I want to take this moment to remind everyone reading this to do regular self-exams and to get your mammograms! It could save your life or the life of someone you love.

When not working, I'm decompressing at the movies, spending time with my spouse, adoring my senior cats, seeking all things tea-related, and generally being an extrovert about town. And in case you didn't notice, I prefer the Oxford comma!
